Queer Factory is a brave space where everyone is encouraged to unleash their authentic selves, breaking free from societal norms and embracing their true identities. The Queer Factory non-profit initiative began in 2022, though its origins trace back to the 1970s. It’s a celebration for the queer community, created and hosted by the community itself. After some smaller on-tour editions, we are back in Maastricht with 3 areas! Dance the night away to an eclectic mix of genres, from queer pop anthems to the best tech house. 

AREA 1: THE PINK AREA
The large hall is an ode to the famous Pink Party that has been organized in Maastricht for the rainbow community since the 1970s. Look around and notice the small symbols, a pink triangle referring to the past. This space is for the queer community, by the queer community. In this area, we will start with the well-known rainbow pop hits, and we will play a little heavier from 01:00 onwards. The line-up consists of 2 well-known DJs (to be announced soon) and spectacular drag acts.

In the Pink Area, we are thrilled to welcome:

• Mary Sanchez: Born under the sun of Gran Canaria with Chilean roots and currently based in Münster, Mary brings a diverse musical spectrum from tech house to techno, infused with her cultural rhythms. Since 2012, she has been a maestro of sound, and her passion for Latin, Urban, and Black music shines through. Mary is also the force behind the Tentacion 🌈 events and the NYX. – #LADIESONDECKS series, cementing her influence in the German LGBTQIA+ community. Mary’s sets are a journey through cultures and genres, making her a standout artist in the queer-friendly scene.

• DJ Zumba: This Belgian DJ is a well-known name in the party circuit, celebrated for his energetic and captivating sets. DJ Zumba’s ability to read the crowd and deliver infectious beats makes him a favorite wherever he spins, ensuring the dance floor is always alive with excitement.

• Madame Gisela: The one and only drag queen from Maastricht, Madame Gisela has been enchanting audiences for years with her timeless performances. Her charisma and stage presence make her a beloved figure in the local drag scene, bringing elegance and flair to every show.

• Gia Hermosa: Hailing from Hasselt, Belgium, Gia Hermosa has graced stages from her hometown to Vancouver. Known for her dazzling performances and vibrant personality, Gia captivates audiences with her stunning Outfits and powerful presence, making every show an unforgettable experience.

AREA 2: THE GEAR FACTORY
Queer Factory presenting The Gear Factory! This marks Maastricht’s grandest gear party in history. Immerse yourself in the thrilling realm of fetish gear and unleash your desires. The Gear Factory warmly embraces all enthusiasts, offering a sanctuary for self-expression. Dress code is diverse; whether you lean towards the comfort of sportswear or the seduction of a leather ensemble, the options are boundless. From latex to leather, explore a diverse spectrum of fetish expressions, including puppy gear. Front coverage is mandatory, ensuring an inclusive space for all participants. Curiosity is not just welcome but encouraged, so don’t hesitate to join this area, even if you’re new to the scene. At the event, we’ll provide a designated area where you can change your attire.

The Gear Factory will feature:

• DJ JD: Making her grand comeback at Queer Factory, DJ JD is set to deliver an eclectic mix from house to tech house. Her sets are known for their dynamic energy and seamless flow, creating a captivating atmosphere that keeps the crowd dancing all night long.
• DJ Andre: A veteran of the dance scene, DJ Andre was a resident DJ at the famous DansSalon Eindhoven. Known for his electrifying sets at secret black parties and Pink Parties, as well as his renowned shop in Maastricht, Bizarre, Andre brings a wealth of experience and a deep love for music to the Gear Factory.
• DJ HARAN: HARAN is a hard techno DJ who transcends the ordinary with his insatiable passion for pounding beats and hypnotic rhythms. His sets are a visceral journey, weaving together intense, dark, and euphoric elements to create an electrifying experience that leaves audiences in awe.
• Supernova: This Spanish Drag Queen, currently dazzling audiences in Venlo, is set to bring her unique blend of hot, kinky Spanish flair to Maastricht. With performances that have captivated audiences in Spain and the UK, Supernova is known for her bold style and dynamic presence, ensuring the Gear Factory is a must-visit area.

AREA 3: THE UNICORN LOBBY
Not feeling the urge to hit the dance floor, but still want to hang out and unwind with fellow queers? We’ve got you covered! We’ve got a relaxing lobby full of unicorns, providing the perfect ambiance for socializing and unwinding. In this lobby, we will also have a merchandise stand and information booth.

VENUE INFORMATION

• The venue Muziekgieterij is located in the city centre of Maastricht: Boschstraat 5, 6211 AS Maastricht
• You can use the lockers for €1 per locker. At the back of the cloakroom you will find two change machines, where you can exchange coins for €1 or use your debit card. It is of course easiest to take a €1 coin with you.
• All toilets are gender-neutral. For those who have a disability, there are accessible toilets.
• The venue does not accept cash at the entrance and the bar. You can easily pay by card (contactless) at the bar with your debit card or smartphone (Apple Pay, Google Pay or similar).
• Queer Factory and Muziekgieterij want to insure a safe and inclusive space for all. There will be queer-friendly security guards. The Queer Factory team has an awareness team. (see something, say something). The event is 18+, please bring your ID.
• Ticket desk is open till 01:00.
