Queer Veiligheid | Queer Safety

Gelukkig voelen veel LHBTIQA+ personen zich in Nederland veilig om zichzelf te zijn. Toch wordt nog altijd een aanzienlijk deel van onze gemeenschap geconfronteerd met discriminatie, pesten of zelfs geweld.

Je ziet het ook regelmatig in nieuwsberichten: LHBTIQA+ personen die hun huis uit gepest worden of op straat worden uitgescholden of in elkaar geslagen.

Daarom organiseert COC Limburg Noord (Venlo & Venray) een thema avond met als titel “Queer veiligheid”. Samen met de politie binnen Roze in Blauw en het Anti Discriminatiepunt zullen we informatie verstrekken, en praten over het onderwerp.

De avond over veiligheid wordt mede mogelijk gemaakt door House of Confetti.

Themavond “Queer veiligheid” zal plaatsvinden op donderdag 16 mei. Inloop vanaf 19.30 uur. Aanvang 20.00 uur. Locatie: House of Confetti, Parade 3A in Venlo.

Fortunately, many LGBTQA+ persons in the Netherlands feel safe to be themselves. Yet a significant part of our community still faces discrimination, bullying or even violence.

You also see it regularly in news reports: LGBTQA+ persons being bullied out of their homes or being scolded or beaten up on the street.

This is why COC Limburg Noord (Venlo & Venray) is organising a theme evening entitled “Queer safety”. Together with the police within “Roze in Blauw” and the Anti Discrimination Point, we will provide information, and talk about the topic.

The evening on safety is co-sponsored by House of Confetti.

Theme night “Queer safety” will take place on Thursday 16 May. Walk-in from 19.30 hrs. Start at 8pm. Location: House of Confetti, Parade 3A in Venlo.
